Once upon a time...
Two seperate beings, they were.
They met once,
And that was all that was needed.
Their eyes met, they acknowledged,
They shared moments of egotistic nonchalance.
There was a strange attraction, they knew,
Yet, they didn't know how.
~
Words exchanged, though scarce,
Led them to one realisation;
They came from separate worlds.
He lived in a world that revolved around creativity and freedom.
She believed in maintaining an assuring mundane-ness in her life.
He was a risk-taker.
She stayed away from change.
They knew they were poles apart.
~
Directions changed,
Never a word exchanged again.
They lost touch.
~
Years passed, and the distance grew miles apart.
One fateful day, they chanced upon each other.
Eyes met, a tint of familiarity gleaming in each.
She smiled, unsure,
And took a sip of her coffee indifferently,
He smiled, uncertain,
And just could not take his eyes off her.
~
Moments flew, and he approached her,
They exchanged greetings,
Then, he said, "I've seen you before."
And familiarity seeped in.
It just clicked.
